Once items are moved to quarantine, they are disabled and cannot harm your computer. You can restore quarantined files using the Webroot Management console or directly from the endpoint using the the agent GUI.

You may want to delete or restore quarantined items in the following circumstances:
Note: To be able to restore files from the agent, the device must have the Unmanaged policy applied. Otherwise, you will have to restore files using the Webroot Management console. Click here for information on updating the endpoint policy.

Using the Webroot Management console to restore items in quarantine
  1. Log in to the Webroot Management console.
     
  2. In the left nav bar, select Entities.
     
  3. Under the Sites & Groups column, locate and expand the Site and Group that contains the device.
     
  4. Check the box next to the device, click the Agent Commands drop-down menu and select Restore File.
     
  5. Enter the MD5 of the file to be restored and click Restore File.
    • The MD5 of the file is available in the Webroot Management console in the threats reported for the endpoint.
Using the agent to view and manage items in quarantine
  1. Open SecureAnywhere on the Endpoint.
     
  2. Click the gear icon next to PC Security.
     
  3. Click the Quarantine tab. If the system has detected a threat that has not yet been quarantined, the Quarantine panel displays in red.


     
  4. If the threat has been quarantined, the Quarantine panel appears in green, with the threat listed.


     
  5. You can leave the item in quarantine, delete or restore it:
    • If you want to remove the item permanently, highlight the item and click Delete Permanently. Be aware that after erasing it, you can never restore the item.
    • If you want to move the item back to its original location, highlight the item and click Restore. When an item is restored, Webroot will no longer detect it during scans. If you want the item to be detected again in the future, you can change its detection rules.
