This solution addresses Webroot SecureAnywhere
If you receive the message, "The keycode could not be verified at this time. Ensure that SecureAnywhere is allowed to connect to the Internet and try again." check the following:
- Internet connection: If you are not connected to the internet, connect first and try again.
- A previous version of Webroot installed: this might be blocking SecureAnywhere. Click here for instructions on how to remove previous versions.
- Installing on Windows 7 or 8: Installation from the Administrator account is required. If you are not sure if you are using an Administrator account, click here.
- Safe Mode: If the suggestions above do not resolve the issue, we recommend starting the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and trying the install again. Click here for instructions on how to start your computer in Safe Mode.
