You can install the OpenText™ Core Endpoint Protection in the background, using an installer file that has been renamed to the keycode for the site.

The resulting file name will have this format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.exe

where XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX is the site keycode.

Note: If you are installing OpenText™ Core Endpoint Protection to a system running Windows XP/2003, please install the latest compatible agent version available via this link:

This version of the agent has been fully tested to run properly on these operating systems.
 
To download a renamed EXE file from the OpenText™ Management Console:
  1. Log in to the OpenText™ Management Console.
     
  2. In the Sites list, find and click the site you want to deploy agents to.
     
  3. In the top nav bar, click Endpoint Protection.
     
  4. In the right side of the screen in the Download software section, click Download Windows (.exe) to download the renamed installer for the site.

To run a background installation by renaming the executable file:
  1. Copy the renamed installer file to the device.
  1. Install the OpenText™ Core Endpoint Protection software on your endpoints, manually or using your own deployment tool.
