The MSI file can be used to install the Webroot Business Protection agent to Windows devices. The Microsoft installer requires commands during installation, which apply the keycode and other options.

Installation requirements:
The Keycode
Please use the correct keycode when installing the agent. Failure to install using the proper keycode can result in the agent needing to be manually uninstalled from each device.
  • When managing all devices with a single keycode - that is the keycode to use.

  • When managing security for many sites - use the keycode for that site and not the parent or account keycode. Click here for help determining a site's keycode.

+Downloading the MSI file
The MSI file is configured to install the most up to date version of the agent. You can download the MSI file from:

https://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsasme.msi

Note: When installing the Webroot Business Endpoint Protection agent to a system running Windows XP/2003, please download the best version of the agent for these operating systems from the link below.

+Using the MSI file to install the agent to a device manually
  1. Copy the wsasme.msi file to the device.

  2. Run the wsasme.msi file, follow the onscreen prompts.

  3. When prompted, enter the keycode.

  4. The agent will run a scan as part of the installation process. Once the scan completes, installation will complete and the device will check-in to the Webroot Management console.

+Using the MSI file to install the agent silently
You can install the agent silently and in the background (requiring no user input) using the MSI file. Here is the MSI command with an addition to export a log to c:\install.log:

msiexec /i wsasme.msi GUILIC=licensekey CMDLINE=SME,quiet /qn /l*v install.log

You can modify the MSI file so that you can use your own method to deploy it.
