Summary:

You can manage the default payment method and auto-renewal status for all of your subscriptions within your account.
 
Note: For security reasons, you cannot edit the details of an existing payment method.

Solution:

 

Adding a new default payment method

  1. Sign in to your account at https://account.webroot.com.
     
  2. Click the Personal Information tab.
     
  3. Under Payment Methods, click on Add a Payment Method.

     
  4. On the next page, enter all applicable information and click Save.

Manage your existing subscription

  1. Sign in to your account at https://account.webroot.com.
     
  2. Click the Subscriptions tab.


     
    Note: The MyAccount portal will appear differently on a mobile device. Select the three lines in the bottom right to bring up the navigation menu, then select Subscriptions.
     
    1. The instructions differ based on whether you are enrolled in automatic payments. Choose the option below that applies to you:

      Automatic Payment

      • In the Subscriptions tab, find the subscription payment method you want to update.
         
      • If automatic renewal is enabled, click the existing payment method highlighted in blue.

         
      • You will be redirected to the Change Payment Method screen. Select a payment method from the drop-down or choose Add a Payment Method.

         
      • If using a new payment method, fill in the required information, check the box next to "I'm not a robot", and click Save.
         
      • Your new payment method will now be the default for future renewals.

      Manual Payment

      • In the Subscriptions tab, find the subscription payment method you want to renew or upgrade.
         
      • If automatic renewal is not enabled, click "Renew/Upgrade" highlighted in blue under the Product column.

         
      • You will be redirected to the renewal and upgrade page.

         
      • After making your selection, the checkout page will display your selected renewal/upgrade for review.
         
      • In the "Pay With" drop-down, select the desired payment method or add a new payment method, and click "Review Order" to proceed.
         
      • Check the box next to "I confirm and validate that the information I have supplied is true, accurate, and complete. I also agree to Webroot’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy" and then click "Complete my purchase".
         
        Note: By default, automatic renewal is enabled when manually renewing or upgrading.

      Enabling or disabling automatic renewal

      • In the Subscriptions tab, find the subscription payment method you want to update.
         
      • Click "Options" highlighted in blue under the Manage column.

         
      • In the auto-renewal pop-up, if auto-renewal is not enabled, the "Turn ON Auto-Renewal" option will be present.


        If auto-renewal is enabled, you will be provided with steps on our Opt Out of Auto-renewal process.

         
      • Turning on auto-renewal will redirect you to the Change Payment Method screen, allowing you to select the payment method for auto-renewal. After selecting the desired payment method, click Save.
         
        Note: To disable automatic renewal, please submit a request to https://www.webroot.com/us/en/auto-renewal-optout.

        At the bottom of the page, you must enter your subscription keycode, check the box next to "Yes, please remove auto renewal from my subscription", and click Submit.
