Note: The following instructions are for Windows 10 and 11.

  1. Go to your Downloads folder and double-click the installation file you downloaded.
     
  2. Click 'Yes' when the User Account Control message is displayed.

     
  3. When prompted, enter your 20-digit subscription keycode.

     
  4. Wait while Webroot installs on your device.

     
  5. A message will be displayed when the installation is completed. Click Finish.

Mac

Note: If you have difficulties installing the Webroot Total Protection app, follow these steps:
  • Navigate to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy
    > General tab.
  • Under the "Allow apps downloaded from" section, select "App Store
    and identified developers."

  1. Go to your Downloads folder and double-click the Webroot installation PKG file.
     
  2. When the installer starts, progress through the menus using the "Continue" button.
     
  3. Read and agree to the Webroot license agreement.
     
  4. By default, the installer will select your Macintosh HD as the destination to install the Webroot app, and click "Continue".
     
  5. Click "Install".
     
  6. You will be prompted to use your Touch ID or enter your Username and Password to authorize the installation.

     
  7. When the installation is complete, you may close the Installation window.
     
  8. The Webroot app will open for you to enter your keycode.

     
  9. Follow the onscreen steps to provide Full Disk Access (FDA) permissions.

     
  10. Once the scan is completed, Webroot is installed.
